The PPF ARC-9 (Autonomous Robotic Canine) is widely used by Planetary Police Forces and replaced living hounds over a century ago. While fulfilling the same roles as their organic counterparts, they do so with far greater efficiency, and can operate in the most dangerous of environments without risking the lives of themselves or handlers. ARC-9s are a common site among Terran populations and can be seen along side the PPF wherever their services are needed; such as carrying out search and rescue missions, apprehending criminals, quelling citizen riots, or even on the battlefield fighting off enemy invaders. Despite their fearsome appearance, most law abiding citizens look fondly upon the ARC-9s as symbols of peace and order.
